Spectrum Center

The 18,500-seat Spectrum Center is the home of the Charlotte Hornets NBA team and hosts a diverse mix of events ranging from the circus and family shows to major concerts and ice shows. The Spectrum Center is located just blocks from the Historic Center of Charlotte.

The arena’s design is a “celebration of gathering.” Open walkways, terraces and exposed staircases encourage conversation between arena guests in all areas of the building, providing connectivity and creating community. Reflections of the community are illustrated through public art and unique displays, which pay tribute to the region’s rich sports and commercial history. A “Greetings from Charlotte, Gateway to the Corners of the Carolinas” sign above the box office provides the overall theming for the building and reflects different destinations and industry in the region.
