Central Hudson Gas & Electric Safety Training Services
Helping the Hudson Valley’s Utility Provider Prioritize Safety
Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation (Central Hudson) is a regulated transmission and distribution utility serving nearly 400,000 customers in the Hudson River Valley of New York. Since 2021, LaBella has been providing safety training services to Central Hudson’s employees.
In close coordination with their safety team and other departments (line, gas, meter, etc.), LaBella has successfully developed many company-specific safety classes, including Flagger, (3-Day) Excavation, Electrical (NFPA 70E), and OSHA’s Outreach classes (10-hour, 30-hour). LaBella has recorded over 200 Central Hudson employees trained and this training partnership is scheduled to be even more aggressive into 2024.
In addition to safety training support, LaBella has worked with Central Hudson teams to help further develop and audit their excavation safety policies and procedures, lock out/tag out (LOTO) equipment specific procedures, and excavation policy.
