City of Hornell Veterans Memorial Park

Originally constructed in 1974, Veterans Memorial Park has long served the recreational needs of the City of Hornell residents. After receiving Downtown Revitalization Initiative funding from New York State in 2019, LaBella assisted the City of Hornell in revitalizing the park’s tennis courts, basketball court, pool house, and splash pad.

The tennis court area was completely reconstructed, converting two tennis courts into pickleball courts. The basketball court was also fully rebuilt to improve drainage and court slopes. The interior of the pool house was remodeled to include new locker rooms and enhanced space for seasonal lifeguards. Adjacent to the pool deck, a new splash pad has replaced the former baby pool to better serve Hornell’s youth population.
