Accessible Cancer Care for the North Carolina Coast
The new CarolinaEast Cancer Center establishes a new level of care and accessibility in North Carolina’s coastal region. The new campus development includes 83,600 sq. ft. of new construction and 10,400 sq. ft. of renovation to the existing cancer center. In addition to the cancer center component, the project included a new 29,400 sq. ft. diagnostic centert.
The expansion includes improved Radiation Oncology, including a vault area as well as 11 exam rooms, a clinic suite, and support spaces. Additionally, the new three-story cancer addition houses 30 infusion bays, 15 medical oncology exam rooms, a chemotherapy compounding pharmacy, a lab, a café, a boutique, and conference rooms with a teaching kitchen. The third floor provides a new home for AHEC offices and a conference center.
