Weeping Willows Traditional Neighborhood Development
Preserving History in a Traditional Neighborhood Development
Weeping Willows, a Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) of single-family homes, townhomes, apartments, and a Town Center with apartments over retail, consists of six phases that will soon be developed on a 200-acre property in Aiken County, SC.
The site dates back over 170 years – a cultural site with farm buildings, a plantation home built in 1850, former slave quarters, a walnut tree grove, and magnificent magnolia trees and other hardwoods that provide shade and essence to the immediate area. The plantation home will be restored as a community space, the slave quarters will be preserved as historic structures, the farm buildings as food and beverage facilities, and the planned tiny homes as short-term rental.
When complete, in addition to the cultural site, the Weeping Willows TND will have 342 single-family homes, 107 townhomes, 150 apartments, a mixed-use Town Center of about 100,000 sq. ft. with apartments above retail, alley access, a looping trail, and connected sidewalks.
