William Peace University Campus Master Plan

Our team was engaged by William Peace University to envision a growth strategy for the campus to align with the WPU Strategic Plan that is currently being adopted. This Master plan served as a conceptual guide to identify future projects and to integrate them into the current framework of the campus. Over a period of 4 months, the design team worked with the Steering Committee and other stakeholder groups to develop a series of options that identified future growth to serve the needs identified by the WPU Strategic Plan.

The master plan process included discussions and meetings with various stakeholders at WPU. The steering committee, faculty administrators, faculty, student leadership and the administration were engaged in an open dialogue about the current and future needs of WPU.

There was a consistent, over-arching theme that emerged as a result of the dialogue and listening sessions. The concept of “Immersive Learning,” the idea that learning happens everywhere on and off campus, was expressed clearly and repeatedly.
