The Fall 2024 Issue of In Session, our K-12 digest, is now available! In this issue, we explore how schools can rethink, reuse, and reconfigure their aging facilities to meet the evolving needs of modern education.
Auditorium renovations take center stage as we rethink how to refresh aesthetics, improve acoustics, and transform these spaces into multifunctional venues that better serve both students and the community. As adaptive reuse gains momentum in the K-12 sector, we share how one district turned a vacant bookstore into a vibrant coffee bar run by students, unlocking the creative potential of underutilized spaces.
When traffic flow issues arise, reconfiguring the design can significantly improve safety and create more effective circulation for buses, vehicles, and pedestrians.
