Expanded Services to be Housed in New Environmental Construction Hub in Lancaster, NY
LaBella Associates, DPC, an international architecture, engineering, environmental, and planning firm, is proud to announce its acquisition of Earth Dimensions, Inc. (EDI), a respected drilling and ecological services firm with deep roots in Western New York. This strategic acquisition, finalized in late 2024, will integrate EDI’s expertise, talented staff, and extensive equipment resources into LaBella’s growing environmental services portfolio.
Founded in 1977, EDI has provided high-quality drilling, ecological services, and environmental solutions to clients throughout the region. By joining forces with LaBella Associates, EDI will broaden its reach and capabilities while continuing to deliver the exceptional service that its clients have relied on for nearly five decades. Beginning in January 2025, Earth Dimensions will officially rebrand under the LaBella name, signaling a seamless transition and a unified identity moving forward.
“We are excited to join the LaBella team and bring our expertise in drilling and ecological services to a full-service, multidisciplinary firm,” said MaryJo Bartron, President at EDI. “This partnership allows us to broaden our offerings while maintaining the commitment to quality and personalized attention that our clients have valued over the past 48 years. We look forward to working together to deliver even greater value to the Western New York community.”
Lancaster Environmental Construction Hub to House Expanded Services
In tandem with the acquisition, LaBella is investing in a new 10,000-square-foot environmental construction hub in the Village of Lancaster, NY, on Walden Avenue to better service clients in Western New York. The new facility will address the growing demand for environmental services in Western New York and will house expanded offerings from EDI.
LaBella has been operating within temporary facilities at this location since early 2024 and expects to move into the new facility by mid-2025. The new facility will be similar to LaBella’s existing construction hubs located in Rochester and Albany, New York, which also house environmental remediation, eco-construction, and drilling staff and equipment.
“This acquisition and our new Lancaster hub underscore our commitment to delivering innovative environmental solutions and supporting sustainable growth in the region,” said Jeff Roloson, AIA, President at LaBella Associates. “The combined expertise of LaBella and EDI will ensure that our clients continue to receive the highest level of service, while enabling us to expand our capabilities in environmental remediation, eco-construction, and drilling.”
Expanded Environmental Services
The integration of EDI’s services into LaBella’s environmental construction department will enhance offerings for public and private sector clients. Key services include:
- Environmental Remediation: Comprehensive solutions ranging from Underground Storage Tank (UST) removals to soil and groundwater remediation and the operation of remedial systems.
- Eco-Construction: Projects focused on ecological preservation and restoration, including invasive species control and habitat creation/restoration along the Niagara River corridor and Great Lakes shorelines.
- Drilling and Ecological Services: Leveraging EDI’s extensive experience and resources for soil testing, monitoring, and ecological assessments.
This partnership between LaBella’s design and construction teams enables seamless project delivery, offering cost savings, improved schedules, and enhanced quality control for clients across the region.
