Mary Steblein Joins Speaker Lineup at 28th Annual STC Regional Leadership Conference
LaBella’s Senior Civil Engineer and New York Stormwater Resource Specialist, Mary Steblein, PE, CPESC, will be speaking at the 28th Annual Regional Leadership Conference on June 5, 2025, in Corning, New York.
Hosted by the Southern Tier Central Regional Planning and Development Board, the event provides municipal and nonprofit board members, as well as code enforcement officials, with an opportunity to earn continuing education credits and fulfill New York State training requirements through accredited programming.
At 3:30 p.m., Mary will present “Introduction to NY Stormwater,” an overview of stormwater management requirements in New York State under the SPDES General Permit (GP-0-25-001). The session will focus on erosion and sediment control, emphasizing key topics relevant to code enforcement, including:
- Fundamentals of the stormwater design process
- Common erosion and sediment control practices
- Obtaining and terminating permit coverage
- Inspection procedures
- Long-term maintenance responsibilities
