Congratulations Samantha Ferrin, winner of the NHRA Rising Star Award!

Please join us in congratulating Human Resources Generalist Samantha Ferrin on winning the National Human Resources Association – Rochester Rising Star Award! This was the first year for the award which was designed to honor emerging leaders in the HR profession.

Samantha was named a finalist for the NHRA Rising Star Award in September and was announced winner on November 19, 2020 in a Zoom Celebration.

Sam joined LaBella in 2013 as a receptionist. In 2016, with a growing workforce, LaBella’s HR team utilized Sam’s knowledge of the organization and strong soft skills to supplement their team as an HR Coordinator. Her work began in recruiting, assisting with offer letters and onboarding. She quickly began initiating strategic initiatives that positioned LaBella’s processes for the new size and scale of the firm, including new software platforms, review processes, the Wellness Committee, and the Propel Leadership Development Program. She continues to work to make onboarding at LaBella as seamless as possible, developing our new hire buddy program, Sidekick.

Sam never anticipated a role in Human Resources, but she is respected throughout the organization, and now, outside of it! Congratulations, Sam!
