LaBella Celebrates 2022 ETHIE Award!
Elevate Rochester is an organization dedicated to celebrating corporate ethics. A key activity of the organization is the ETHIE Award, which has grown to be one of the premier awards of the region and is a valuable tool to recognize and promote companies who do things the “right way.” The ETHIE is modeled on the American Business Ethics Award (ABEA), which was founded in 1994 by the National Society of Financial Service Professionals. In fact, several of Rochester’s award recipients have gone on to participate and win national recognition for corporate ethics in the ABEA competition.
A landmark Harvard Business School study of 207 large firms over an 11-year period showed that a strong corporate and ethical culture:
- Increased revenues by 400%
- Increased the workforce by 800%
- Increased the stock price by 1200%
- Increased net income by 7500%
The ETHIE Award recognizes businesses and organizations that strive to promote ethical principles in business. The crystal statuette presented to ETHIE Award recipients symbolizes the navigator’s and the architect’s compasses, the roots of ethics in the ancient world, strong ethical foundations, aspirations to high standards of business conduct, and the multifaceted nature of ethics in our daily lives.
The 2022 ETHIE Awards were presented at an award ceremony on December 7th, 2022, to four Rochester-area organizations, including LaBella Associates! We are very proud to be a recipient of an award that demonstrates our dedication to our core values. Thank you everyone for helping us build a culture that supports such an award.
