Adam Toy Presenting at the Marcellus Shale Coalition’s Member Meeting

LaBella’s Environmental Project Manager Adam Toy, PG, will be speaking at the Marcellus Shale Coalition‘s (MSC) Members Meeting, scheduled for March 26-27, 2025, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Founded in 2008, MSC partners with exploration, production, midstream, and supply chain partners in the Appalachian Basin and beyond to advance the responsible development of American natural gas from the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays. The coalition provides policymakers, regulators, media, and other public stakeholders with insights into the economic and community benefits of natural gas production.

On Wednesday, March 26th at 10:30 a.m., Adam will present “Marcellus Shale Play Fundamentals—Understanding the Geology of the Appalachian Basin, Petrophysical Properties of the Marcellus, and the Implications for Future Natural Gas Development in Pennsylvania.”

The presentation will explore the Appalachian Basin’s geologic evolution and the events that shaped the Marcellus Shale into one of the world’s most prolific natural gas producing formations. Adam will also discuss reservoir quality variability across the play and the remaining developmental potential for operators as this valuable resource continues to mature.
