LaBella Welcomes Stieglitz Snyder Architecture!
LaBella proudly announces the forthcoming acquisition of Stieglitz Snyder Architecture (SSA). Closing is anticipated in early 2022. Through the deal, LaBella will expand its architectural design resources in Western NY.
Stieglitz Snyder Architecture is a continuum of an architectural practice founded in the 1970’s by David Stieglitz. Stieglitz Snyder’s portfolio of varied structures includes residential, civic, cultural, corporate, educational, and commercial projects. The firm is led by partners Philip Snyder, Robert Shepard, and Jeffrey Kloetzer. Notable projects in Buffalo have included The Avant (200 Delaware Avenue), Niagara Square Apartments, Catholic Health Administrative and Regional Training Center, and BPS #66, North Park Academy Addition. SSA projects have been recognized by the American Institute of Architects Design Awards over the past six consecutive years.
“The SSA team offers recognized design quality paired with relationship-driven project management,” LaBella President Jeffrey Roloson, AIA, said. “LaBella will give them more resources to do what they do best – including additional in-house capabilities.”
The firms are teamed on several active projects, which led to the opportunity to make the collaboration permanent. “We have enjoyed the team approach LaBella brings to projects,” said Phil Snyder, SSA Senior Partner. “It’s easy to see how our employees will strengthen LaBella’s capabilities, and vice-versa.”
LaBella’s investment in the Western NY region has been continuous. The firm has achieved 160% organic growth in their Buffalo office over the past five years and completed previous acquisitions of BHNT Architects in Buffalo and Sandberg Kessler Architects in Jamestown. “In order to provide our clients the dedicated resources their projects require, LaBella is continually making investments in talented people and the culture to retain them,” LaBella CEO Steve Metzger said. “Our firm offers an inviting environment for talented teams to grow. Once the culture is a fit, both firms are able to approach the integration with confidence and enthusiasm.”
“We want our clients to be excited about the opportunities for enhanced services,” Roloson says. “That means we need to deliver a seamless integration experience.” LaBella has become knowledgeable about the time it takes to get everyone acclimated, and will retain the Stieglitz Snyder name until the transition is complete in mid-2022. In the meantime, LaBella’s Pearl Street office will be expanded to accommodate the SSA team.
“We are energized by the opportunities that lay ahead,” Snyder said. “We are confident that SSA is well-positioned to continue our client-centered design practice as part of the LaBella team.”
