- March 13 | Crystal Stapley will be presenting “Debris Management in a Changing Climate,” which will focus on emergency debris management debris before, during, and after natural disasters. The session will examine the impact of climate change on debris collection, highlight best practices in current debris collection methods, and provide guidance on planning for future debris management challenges.

- March 20-21 | American Public Works Association (APWA) – New York State Chapter Annual Conference | Utica, NY
- March 20 at 9:00 a.m. | Jesse Vogl, AICP, will be presenting “Speed Limit Reductions: How to Establish Safe Speeds in Your Community.” The session will explore New York State’s recent legislation allowing municipalities to lower area-wide speed limits to 25 mph and the engineering studies required to implement them. Jesse will cover federal, state, and local guidance and best practices; speed limit study methodologies; signing requirements; and additional traffic-calming measures to enhance roadway safety for all users.
- March 20 at 3:00 p.m. | Pierre Brissette, PE, and Alyssa Burnell, EIT, will be presenting “Town of Wawarsing, NY: The Race for Clean Water.” This presentation will discuss the discovery of leaks in the Rondout West Branch Tunnel of the NYC Delaware Aqueduct, their impact on private wells in Wawarsing, and the urgent need for an alternative water source.

- March 25 at 2:45 p.m. | Crystal Stapley will be presenting “Waste Reduction Through Waste Diversion,” which will discuss processes for redirecting waste from landfills as well as initiatives that emphasize prevention, reuse, and responsible conversion efforts.
- March 25 | Central New York Chapters of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) – 2025 CNY A&WMA/AIHA Joint Technical Conference | Skaneateles, NY
- March 25 at 2:15 p.m. | Chuck Sharpe, PE, will be presenting “Ethical Considerations for Engineers—A Joint Technical/Legal Discussion” alongside Bob Tyson, Esq., of Bond, Schoeneck & King. The session will review engineering ethics codes, including those established by the National Society of Professional Engineers, and explore ethical decision-making through real-world examples.

- March 26 at 10:30 a.m. | Adam Toy, PG, and Nick Terech will be presenting “Marcellus Shale Play Fundamentals—Understanding the Geology of the Appalachian Basin, Petrophysical Properties of the Marcellus, and the Implications for Future Natural Gas Development in Pennsylvania.” The presentation will examine the geologic evolution of the Appalachian Basin, factors influencing reservoir variability, and what they mean for the future of natural gas development.

- LaBella will be participating in this annual engineering expo that takes place at White Plains High School in Westchester County, NY each spring. The aim of this event is to inspire the next generation of innovators to pursue an education and career in engineering and technology.
