LaBella is honored to have received a Citation Award for Excellence in Architecture from AIA Rochester for the Max Lowenthal Hall addition project at the Rochester Institute of Technology’s Saunders College of Business. Presented as part of AIA Rochester’s annual Design Awards, this recognition celebrates outstanding architectural projects in the region. The program highlights excellence in design, raises public awareness of the built environment, and honors the collaborative efforts of owners, designers, and construction teams.

The multi-million-dollar expansion and renovation of Max Lowenthal Hall provides approximately 80% more space for the Saunders College of Business. The four-story, 38,000-square-foot building now features cutting-edge teaching and learning spaces, spaces for innovative research, student lounges, an auditorium, a food venue, and state-of-the-art event and collaboration areas—including two outdoor terraces. Views from the addition were thoughtfully integrated into the design, with the south side overlooking wetlands and hills, the east side facing athletic fields and courts, and the north side offering views of the vibrant Quarter Mile.
