Three LaBella-Designed Projects Recognized With 2025 Facility Awards From the American Sports Builders Association
2025 Outdoor Tennis Facility of the Year
Rush-Henrietta’s Sperry High School Athletic Complex
When the need for improvements to Sperry High School’s athletic facilities became evident, the Rush-Henrietta Central School District (CSD) recognized an opportunity to reinvent the entire complex. LaBella teamed with Rush-Henrietta CSD to thoughtfully master plan the entire athletic complex. The tennis courts were relocated to take advantage of underutilized space, and a multi-purpose turf stadium with a restroom and concession building was added to improve field playability. These improvements create a cohesive, functional, and modern athletic campus.

Rochester Institute of Technology’s Softball and Baseball Fields
Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is upgrading its athletic facilities to qualify to host NCAA tournaments. This project involved demolishing and reconstructing RIT’s existing softball and baseball fields with high-performance synthetic turf systems. Each field was designed to NCAA standards and features integrated bullpens, batting tunnels, custom logos, and performance-optimized layouts. The softball field was strategically positioned alongside a new track and field complex to establish a contiguous athletic zone, while future expansion will include a dedicated stadium for lacrosse and soccer.
