Beanz Café Wins 2024 Renovation of the Year Award from the National Association of College & University Food Services!

LaBella is excited to announce that our renovation of Beanz Café at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) has received a 2024 Renovation of the Year award from the National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS), an association that represents a large community of colleges, universities, and industry organizations. This award highlights outstanding renovations completed in 2024.

The renovation of Beanz Café included a new commercial kitchen, which enhanced the efficiency of the workspace for café employees and provided more sanitary food preparation areas. This project was completed as part of a larger, multi-phased renovation at RIT’s Grace Watson Dining Hall, which had not seen a major renovation since the early 1990s.

The Renovation of the Year award is part of NACUFS’ annual Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards program, which celebrates innovative ideas, exemplary menus, special event planning, and successful dining concepts in college and university culinary arts.
