Please join us in congratulating Matthew Cole on achieving his professional engineering licensure!
A 2019 graduate of Temple University, Matt joined LaBella as a Junior Bridge Engineer in our Scranton, PA office shortly afterward. Since then, Matt has become a valued contributor to the region’s bridge design efforts, working on a wide range of transportation improvement projects, including roadway and structure rehabilitations as well as structure replacements.
He is well-versed in Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) policies and procedures and plays a key role in delivering PennDOT projects. In addition, Matt has experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and has served as one of LaBella’s primary PS&E preparers since 2019.
“I’m beyond pleased to share that Matt has taken the next step in his career with his recognition as a Professional Engineer. He has been a tremendous asset to our transportation team, contributing to numerous bridge and culvert projects. His efforts have played a key role in LaBella receiving exceptional evaluations from PennDOT District 4-0. In his time with LaBella, Matt has consistently demonstrated strong technical expertise, effective project leadership, and a commitment to mentoring junior staff. I am proud and privileged to have him as part of our team.” – Mike Mecca, PE | Vice President/Senior Transportation Engineer
