LaBella’s Solid Waste Training Program Partners With the National Waste and Recycling Association

This Partnership Expands Access to Industry-Leading Solid Waste Education

LaBella Associates recently partnered with the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) through their Endorsed Partner Program, providing NWRA members expanded access to LaBella’s nationally recognized training programs for solid waste professionals across the country.

“We are proud to partner with NWRA and continue providing quality, timely, and hands-on training to solid waste professionals,” said Kristie Hooper, director of business development at LaBella. “Our shared commitment to safety and compliance will help strengthen the industry and its workforce nationwide,” continued Jeff Fantell, PE, vice president/training program manager at LaBella.

NWRA represents private-sector companies involved in every aspect of the waste and recycling industry—from firms handling municipal solid waste to those managing hazardous, medical, and construction and demolition debris, as well as equipment manufacturers and distributors.

As an accredited education provider with the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), LaBella delivers a wide range of continuing education and certification offerings. These programs are developed for landfill operators, transfer station staff, composting program managers, and other personnel who work within solid waste facilities. Training includes both classroom instruction and hands-on, practical learning experiences.

“We’re excited to welcome back LaBella Training as an endorsed partner,” said Michael E. Hoffman, president and CEO of NWRA. “Their high-quality training programs directly support our mission to advance the waste and recycling industry through safety, professionalism, and best practices.”

Through this renewed collaboration, NWRA members will gain access to discounted courses and tools that support certification requirements and ongoing professional development. LaBella’s training catalog spans operational topics such as landfill and transfer station management, stormwater practices, hazardous materials procedures, composting fundamentals, collection operations, and OSHA-related safety guidance.
