Queen City Field: Kicking Off Buffalo’s Next Great Comeback
A new sports landmark is taking shape in Buffalo’s historic Valley neighborhood. LaBella is leading the full architectural and MEPFP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection) design for Queen City Field, a 7,600-seat modular stadium that will become the vibrant home of Buffalo Pro Soccer’s USL Championship and USL Super League teams.
Set within the larger vision of the Buffalo Color Park redevelopment, this privately funded stadium is more than just a venue — it’s a catalyst for transformation. Designed with speed and efficiency in mind, Queen City Field will rise in just 12 months through innovative modular construction. The stadium will include 12 premium suites, dynamic club terraces, dedicated team offices and locker rooms, and nearby training fields for the Buffalo Pro Soccer Academy.
What’s being built is more than a stadium — it’s a destination. Queen City Field will anchor a thriving mixed-use district filled with retail, food and beverage offerings, and year-round community-driven events. This project is not only bringing professional soccer to Buffalo — it’s reigniting a neighborhood with energy, opportunity, and pride.
Project Update Disclaimer:
Please note that since the original announcement of this project, the planned location for the Buffalo USL Soccer Stadium has changed. Buffalo Pro Soccer has terminated its lease agreement for the Elk Street site and is actively evaluating alternative locations for the stadium. While the project vision remains the same, the site and timeline are currently being reassessed. We will update this page as new information becomes available.
