Vacant Apartment Buildings Reimagined Into Affordable Housing

LaBella is working with Pennrose and the Troy Housing Authority to redevelop the vacant Taylor 1 and Taylor 2 apartment towers. Our role on this project includes civil and site design, as well as guiding the project through the local planning and zoning board approvals.

The redevelopment involves demolishing both buildings and constructing a new seven-story, 153,375-square-foot mixed-use, mixed-income building. The design features 141 residential units, ranging from one- to three-bedroom apartments. These units are designated as replacement affordable housing reserved for current residents of the Taylor 3 and Taylor 4 apartment buildings.
