Congratulations to Jenny Johnson, Recipient of a 2023 Services Distinguished Service Award from NWRA!

The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) recognized the winners of its 2023 Member Awards at an Executive Leadership Roundtable event held October 4-5, 2023, in Asheville, North Carolina. The award ceremony celebrated the achievements of its state chapter members across three categories: Member of the Year, Chapter Leadership, and Distinguished Service.

LaBella proudly announces that Jenny Johnson, Vice President and Director of Waste & Recycling, received a 2023 Services Distinguished Service Award from NWRA for her contributions in support of the waste and recycling industry and the Association.

NWRA presents Distinguished Service awards to longstanding members of the Association who deliver service in pursuit of NWRA’s mission and goals, generally spanning several years. These awards recognize the highest spirit of volunteerism, personal integrity, professionalism, and performance in an honorable and ethical manner.

Jenny has dedicated her career to the solid waste and recycling industry and has provided a steady hand as President of the Virginia Waste Industries Association, a chapter of NWRA. Her expertise is frequently sought for regulatory advisory panels for amendments to solid waste management and stormwater regulations. She also has testified at the Virginia General Assembly on legislation concerning solid waste and serves on the Virginia Waste Management Board.
