LaBella’s Principal Planner Jesse Vogl, AICP, will be participating in a panel discussion at the Sustainability/Operations Planning and Scheduling Workshop being held by the American Public Transportation Association on August 18–21, 2024, in Washington, DC.

The workshop focuses on key topics such as adapting to new travel demands and mobility patterns, implementing environmental management systems, sustainable capital programming, equitable service planning and delivery, facilities planning, clean bus technologies, positioning transit as a central strategy for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and redesigning routes for improved mobility.

On Monday, August 19th, at 10:30 a.m., Jesse will participate in a panel discussion titled “Who Gets Service?” This session will explore the complexities of allocating limited transit resources, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of the different approaches transit agencies use to determine who gets what service and why.

Jesse, along with the Capital District Transportation Authority, will outline analytical strategies for planning and implementing Albany’s new high-priority Purple Line BRT. The workshop will also feature presentations from Sacramento Regional Transit District, Houston METRO, and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency.
