Several members of LaBella will be presenting at the 2025 Training School and Annual Meeting of the New York Association of Towns, taking place February 16-19, 2025, in New York, New York.
On Monday, February 17th at 10:30 a.m., Data Intelligence Lead Rebecca Smith, GISP, will present “Visualize, Manage, and Share Your Data for Enhanced Collaboration and Decision-Making: Leveraging ArcGIS Online.” This session will provide an overview of Esri’s ArcGIS Online, demonstrating how tools like Field Maps, ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Hub, and ArcGIS Dashboards can streamline workflows and improve decision-making. Real-world examples will highlight how these applications can enhance organizational insights, communication, and workflow efficiency.
Later that day, join Principal Traffic Engineer Frank Filiciotto, PE, at 11:30 a.m. for his presentation, “Speed Limit Reduction: How to Establish Safe Speeds in Your Community.” This session will cover federal, state, and local guidance for setting new area-wide speed limits, conducting speed limit studies, and implementing changes—including data needs, analysis methods, signage requirements, and traffic calming measures. Attendees will gain insights into best practices for creating safer roads for all users.
On Tuesday, February 18th at 10:00 a.m., Senior Planner Norabelle Greenberger, AICP, will present “Turning Plans into Action: Strategies for Effective Implementation.” Learn how to translate comprehensive and other community-prepared plans into tangible results. This session will explore real-world examples, common challenges, and effective strategies for moving plans from vision to execution.
