Norabelle Greenberger Joining Panel Discussion at the Mohawk Valley Brownfields Developer Summit

The Mohawk Valley Economic Development District will host the Mohawk Valley Brownfields Developer Summit on April 21–22, 2026, in Herkimer, New York.

On Tuesday, April 21, at 10:30 a.m., LaBella’s Eastern New York Planning Lead and Brownfields Market Leader Norabelle Greenberger, AICP, will join a panel discussion titled “Developing a Comprehensive Brownfield Inventory and Evaluation System.”

The session will explore practical approaches to building and using brownfield inventories as tools for action, not just documentation. Panelists will discuss how communities identify, evaluate, and prioritize brownfield sites based on local goals, market context, and capacity. The session will also examine how funding programs and state initiatives shape inventory methods and influence site prioritization, with a focus on aligning redevelopment strategies with community priorities.

Norabelle will be joined by fellow panelists:

  • Laura Cohen, Director of Community Development, City of Utica
  • Ashita Patel, Brownfields State and Tribal Coordinator, United States Environmental Protection Agency
  • Stefan Lutter, Revitalization Specialist, Office of Planning, Development, and Community Infrastructure, New York State Department of State

The panel will be moderated by John Piseck, Chief Executive Officer of the Herkimer County Industrial Development Agency.
