US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Grant Program – Job Training Grants
Purpose
To help municipalities, nonprofits, and other eligible organizations build local workforces to perform assessment, cleanup, or preparation of contaminated sites (including brownfields) for reuse.
Eligible Applicants
Local, County, State, and Tribal governments; Regional Planning or Redevelopment Agencies; Workforce Investment Boards and One-Stop Centers; College and Universities; and 501(c)(3) Nonprofits affected by a contaminated site, including brownfields.
Funding Details
- Maximum Funding: $500,000 over 5 years
- Funded Activities Include: Instructors, training materials, licensing and testing fees; work gear, drug testing, and health exams; job placement and employer outreach; participant support (childcare, stipends, transportation).
