LaBella Congratulates Our Newest Professional Engineer, Jacob Boyd, PE!

Jacob Boyd has received his professional engineering license!

Please join us in congratulating Jacob Boyd on achieving his professional engineering licensure!

Jacob began his career as an intern at LaBella’s Charlotte office in 2021 while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After graduating in 2022, he joined our firm full-time as a Civil Designer, supporting municipal projects.

His work primarily focuses on storm drainage planning and design, including associated hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. Additionally, he supports our team on projects involving land development, roadway and utility design, and GIS applications.

Jacob has worked on flood studies and stormwater drainage improvements projects for various markets, gaining experience in planning, alternatives analysis, design, cost estimating, construction document preparation, and construction administration. He is also a member of the American Public Works Association.
