LaBella Congratulates Our Newest Certified Wildlife Biologist®, Jacob Johnston, CWB®!

Please join us in congratulating Jacob Johnston on earning his Certified Wildlife Biologist® certification!

Jacob is an Ecologist and Natural Resources Manager with over 15 years of experience working with clients and private landowners in the land management process to deliver conservation-based solutions.

His work spans diverse environments, including wilderness, farmland, and residential areas. Jacob performs Winter Raptor Surveys and Breeding Bird Surveys, bog buck moth surveys, pollinator surveys, and other habitat surveys, as well as wetland delineations.

Also a GIS specialist, Jacob provides project mapping and spatial analysis for residential and commercial projects, including invasive species management, habitat restoration and improvement projects, and smart-grid energy transmission models for large utilities.

Additionally, Jacob is certified in acoustic monitoring and species identification by Wildlife Acoustics, Bat Survey Solutions, and Vesper Bat Detection Services.

By earning the CWB® certification from The Wildlife Society, Jacob meets rigorous standards that reflect a strong educational background and expertise in applying the ecological principles to wildlife conservation and habitat management. It also identifies Jacob as an ethical practitioner.
