Major improvements at the Village of Webster’s wastewater treatment plant are now complete!

On October 15, 2026, Village officials, New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation representatives, and project contributors gathered to cut a toilet paper ribbon at the Village of Webster’s Wastewater Treatment Plant, celebrating the culmination of a decade-long, $15.9 million improvement project.

First opened in 1934, the plant treats an average of 1.3 million gallons of wastewater daily. The improvements were needed to meet modern standards and continue protecting residents, businesses, and the environment. Careful construction phasing kept this essential facility operational throughout the project.
For more than a decade, LaBella has partnered with the Village to guide the project from evaluation and planning through construction. Our multidisciplinary team evaluated the existing facility, prepared a preliminary engineering report, and analyzed improvement alternatives before providing engineering design, permitting, construction procurement, construction administration and observation, and grant administration services.
The ribbon cutting marked both a major infrastructure investment and years of collaboration to support the Village’s wastewater treatment needs. Congratulations to the Village and everyone on the project team for helping roll this important investment across the finish line!
