Arlette St. Romain Moderating a Panel Discussion at BCONE’s Northeast Sustainable Communities Workshop

LaBella’s Brownfields Program Manager Arlette St. Romain will be representing the firm at the Northeast Sustainable Communities Workshop 2024, hosted by the Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast (BCONE) on September 24-25, 2024, in Morristown, New Jersey.

On September 24 at 3:30 p.m., Arlette will moderate a panel discussion titled “Charging Brownfield Redevelopment Through Battery Energy Storage.” This session will explore the transformative potential of battery energy storage projects on brownfield sites, emphasizing the unique advantages of siting these solutions on redeveloped properties. The discussion will also highlight how communities sand developers can collaborate to create clean energy hubs and examine innovative strategies to turn underutilized brownfield sites into sustainable and resilient assets, providing both environmental and economic benefits.

Joining the discussion as panelists are Lee D. Hoffman, Chair at Pullman & Comley; Katelin Nickerson, Project Director at Flycatcher LLC; and Paul Williamson, Director of Development at Key Capture Energy.
