Jared Pristach to Present on Climate Adaptation in the Finger Lakes at GFL A&WMA’s October Chapter Meeting

Senior Environmental Engineer Jared Pristach, PE, WEDG, will be a featured speaker at the October Chapter Meeting of the Genesee Finger Lakes Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association (GFL A&WMA). The meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, in Rochester, New York.

Join Jared at 12:00 p.m. for his presentation, “Climate Adaptation in the Finger Lakes,” which will examine how aging infrastructure and a changing climate affect the way communities respond to flooding, extreme heat, changing precipitation patterns, and other climate hazards.

Jared will discuss anticipated changes to climate hazards across the Finger Lakes region and highlight case studies demonstrating how nature-based solutions can help communities address these challenges. He will also explore how these solutions can provide multiple benefits beyond climate resilience, including reducing areal flooding and harmful algal blooms—two issues of particular importance to the Finger Lakes region.
