More than 5,500 non-perishable items will be donated to Capital Region food pantries.

Last week, LaBella’s New York offices in Albany, Glens Falls, Ballston Spa, and Poughkeepsie built a towering structure inspired by an Acadia National Park postcard in support of the Capital Region CANstruction Competition.
This year’s theme was The Great AmeriCAN Roadtrip—inviting teams to celebrate America’s 250th birthday by embracing the classic AmeriCAN road trip experience.
Built in eight hours using canned vegetables, dried beans, rice, and dish soap, the “Greetings from Acadia National Park” display highlights coastal Maine’s nature, lighthouses, whales, and lobsters.
The build earned the Jurors’ Favorite award and will provide more than 5,500 items to The Food Pantries for the Capital District.
“Greetings from Acadia National Park” and 13 other CANstructures are on display at the Crossgates Mall in Albany, New York, until May 10. Visitors are encouraged to bring canned goods to vote for the “People’s Choice” award!
About CANstruction:
