Reuben Hull Facilitating Technical Sessions at the American Society of Civil Engineers 2024 Convention

Reuben Hull, PE. PMP, M.ASCE, LaBella’s Assistant Municipal Discipline Leader and Senior Civil Engineer, will be representing the firm at the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 2024 Convention being held October 6-9, 2024, in Tampa, Florida. The ASCE 2024 Convention, the Society’s flagship membership event, will feature a variety of meaningful programming experiences, including the annual ASCE members meeting, keynote presentations, invited panels, case histories, and research papers.

On October 7th and 8th, Reuben will facilitate the convention’s program of Civil Engineering History and Heritage sessions, covering significant civil engineering achievements both in the Tampa region and nationwide.

With over 30 years of experience in the engineering consulting industry, Reuben Hull, PE. PMP, M.ASCE—a civil engineer by training and a historian by avocation—has successfully blended both fields through his research, consultations, presentations, and publications. Since 2014, ASCE Convention audiences have experienced his signature presentations, including “The French Attempt to Construct a Canal at Panama,” “Draining the Everglades: Lessons in Unintended Consequences,” and “Raising Chicago From the Muck.” In 2018, Reuben served as a technical advisor for the PBS production “10 Modern Marvels That Changed America,” produced by WTTW Chicago.
