Pittsford Parks

In response to the growing demand for athletic field space, the Town of Pittsford sought to update their existing recreational athletic fields across several parks. LaBella was tasked with designing improvements to existing fields, new fields, and associated amenities for four town parks, resulting in comprehensive upgrades to enhance community recreation. LaBella provided professional services that include civil/site engineering, architectural design, SEQR services, topographic survey, landscape architecture, and construction administration.

• Thornell Park: Thornell Park received a new synthetic turf field with lighting, three natural grass fields for soccer and lacrosse, upgraded softball fields, a new playground, expanded parking, and renovated restrooms.
• Great Embankment Park: At Great Embankment Park, three new natural grass fields were installed for soccer and lacrosse, as well as ADA-compliant field access, a new restroom facility, a new playground, and additional parking.
• Hopkins Park: Upgrades to two natural grass fields for soccer and lacrosse, a new playground, and a new restroom facility were constructed at Hopkins Park.
• Willard Road Park: Previously used for agricultural purposes, Willard Road Park now features three natural grass/skinned baseball fields, a new restroom facility, and parking lots.
• Additional Enhancements: All parks received drainage improvements and irrigation systems to support the fields’ longevity and usability.
