Urban Living in the South Broad District
Within the City of Chattanooga, TN, the Borough 33 Apartments is a residential community located in the heart of the South Broad District. The site features three multi-family buildings providing 310 apartment units with studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom floorplans. The leasing center and clubhouse are surrounded by various amenities, including a pool, dog park, outdoor kitchen, and fire pit. The gated community offers surface parking as well as single-car garages. This site was the first development in South Broad to be granted a massing variance to exceed 12,000 square feet.
LaBella was engaged from project inception to project completion, providing zoning and planning, geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, landscape architecture, amenity design, and construction administration associated with the entitlement, permitting, and construction of the multi-family development.
Directly adjacent to the site, LaBella was also responsible for the design of the initial phase of the Alton Park Connection. Working with the developer and the City of Chattanooga, a design was developed for the multi-use pathway under a public-private partnership. Connections between the multi-use path and the residential development were included in the design as well as future extensions of the walk.
