Lander University – Nursing Experiential Learning Center
Where the Next Generation of Nurses Takes Shape
The new School of Nursing building at Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina will unite classroom knowledge and hands-on clinical training to create a dynamic learning environment. Designed to prepare the next generation of compassionate, highly skilled nurses, the facility is being thoughtfully developed to mirror the realities of modern healthcare.
At the heart of the building, five advanced simulation suites will replicate real-world clinical settings, including Obstetrics High-Fidelity, Pediatric High-Fidelity, two Medical/Surgical suites, Critical Care High-Fidelity, and Med Pyxis environments. Dedicated control and support spaces will enable immersive training experiences, while adjacent debriefing and meeting rooms will offer areas for reflection, discussion, and critical thinking following simulations.
Two collaborative, active-learning classrooms are complemented by faculty touch-down areas that encourage accessibility and mentorship. Woven throughout, student huddle spaces and focused study areas will promote both peer collaboration and independent learning.
