John Thierfelder

John serves as Director of Program Management and is a Senior Vice President at LaBella. He brings 35 years of experience in commercial project and construction management, including 20 successful years working with utilities and municipalities across Long Island and New York City.

John currently manages construction operations for electric utilities along the east coast while expanding the firm’s participation in expansive renewable energy initiatives. His expertise includes the preparation of scope, budget, and schedule; development of preliminary studies, cost estimates, and contract documents; design phase oversight; bidding processes; and invoicing. With his extensive and diverse experience, John has developed the leadership and negotiation skills that distinguish him as an industry expert.

John lives in Vestal, NY, with his wife Vickie and enjoys frequent visits from his five children and six grandchildren. When not entertaining his family or supporting various community organizations, you might find John right in his own garage, “fueling” his long-time passion for race cars.
