University Hospitals – Sterile Processing Department Renovation
Attention (to Detail): Renovated Sterile Processing Department Ready to Deliver Safe Patient Care
Covering an area of just over 11,000 sq. ft., this project is a complex, multi-phase upgrade of the Sterile Processing Department located in the sub-basement of University Hospitals’ Samuel Mather Pavilion.
The project included reconfiguring and expanding the Decontamination, Central Sterile Processing, and Processed Storage areas, as well as updating offices, locker rooms, and restrooms.
In addition, the project involved extensive coordination of both new and existing equipment, including a new cart washer, washer/disinfectors, sterilizers, and a wide variety of high-density vertical storage carousels designed to increase the Sterile Processing Department’s storage capacity.
