Veterans Affairs Houston Breaks Ground on New Outpatient Healthcare Clinic in Texas
The new 38,000-sq.-ft. facility will expand healthcare access for veterans in Fort Bend County.
On May 28, 2026, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) and the Houston Veterans Health Care System held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) for veterans in Rosenberg, Texas.
Fort Bend County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Texas, and its veteran population is growing right along with it. Two existing CBOCs in the area have met capacity, serving roughly 13,000 veterans combined. This new 38,000-square-foot clinic will expand healthcare access for veterans in the Fort Bend area.
The new clinic will provide primary care, mental health, radiology, audiology, optometry, orthopedics, sleep and pulmonary care, prosthetics, physical therapy, and a dedicated women’s health area.
