Shoreline Revetment at Lakeside State Park

LaBella was awarded a contract with the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation to provide additional shoreline revetment on the southern shore of Lake Ontario. The site is in Lakeside State Park, just north of the hamlet of Waterport, NY. The project consisted of placing +/- 5,000 lb. limestone blocks to protect against erosion caused by wave action, storm surge, and currents, and supplements previous work performed by park personnel. In addition, the revetment protects a walking path that provides access to the beach from washouts caused by wave action.
