Ed is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the AEC industry. His background includes early work at a family-owned construction business, where he gained firsthand insight into construction and how projects progress from planning through completion. After earning his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Union College, Ed joined The Chazen Companies, advancing from Assistant Engineer to Director before joining LaBella.
In his current role as Northeast Regional Director, Ed collaborates across LaBella’s divisions, service lines, and market sectors to strengthen operations, support successful project delivery, and guide strategic growth. He works closely with local and divisional leaders to align resources, address project priorities, and pursue opportunities that best serve the firm and its clients. Ed’s contributions also include establishing a project execution team to integrate QA/QC throughout the project lifecycle, improving consistency, accountability, and client outcomes. Central to his leadership approach is a commitment to staff development, including mentoring emerging leaders and building teams in which individuals can grow and succeed.
In addition to serving on LaBella’s Board of Directors, Ed is a member of the Union College Civil Engineering ABET Accreditation Board and president of the Union College Fighting Dutchmen Gridiron Club Board. He resides in Delmar, NY, with his wife, Molly, and their two children.
