With nearly 30 years of experience, Johanna is a professional engineer and professional geologist whose expertise spans urban, residential, industrial, and commercial properties. Across these diverse project types, she has provided environmental due diligence services, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and has developed strategies for site characterization and remediation. Johanna also has project management experience leading EPA-funded brownfield grants, US EPA Revolving Loan Fund cleanups, state and private brownfield assessment and cleanup projects, and indoor air quality studies.

After joining LaBella in 2024, she quickly began expanding the firm’s environmental service offerings in Tennessee. In her current roles as Tennessee Investigation and Remediation Program Manager and South Central Regional Director, Johanna leads LaBella’s Tennessee-based environmental team and supports business development initiatives to expand the firm’s reach across the region.

A longtime resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Johanna has spent years supporting her community through organizations and leadership roles, including serving on the boards of the Chattanooga Design Studio and the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce. She was also a member of the Junior League of Chattanooga for nearly a decade.

Johanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geological Sciences from Lehigh University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. When not at work, she prioritizes spending time with her family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling whenever possible.
